The Modern Profane Satanist
There was a debate going on somewhere which was started after I had posted something that David Myatt had written very recently. I left it uninterrupted, just as it was written by the deep mind it came from. There was an ONA Initiate and another very intelligent and intuitive person who after reading that article written by D. Myatt were creatively stimulated and began to see esoteric insights that weren’t objectively written, but was “hinted at.” Several literalist profane Satanists came along and rejected the article stating that D. Myatt was incoherent and did not clearly and precisely state his idea as a good writer should, and therefore Myatt somehow lacked communication skills, and thus, esoteric insights which were never written down by the author in the article was “seen” out of either confusion or a subconscious attempt to make sense of the nonsensical on the part of the seer.
Later this group of literalist profane Satanists naturally started yet another internet debate on communication and language, where they demonstrated what clear and precise writing looked like. Like Christians bible thumping and quoting infallible scriptures to back up circular arguments, these profane Satanists started – as they often do – quoting the infallible Webster and Wikipedia and of course no profane Satanic debate is complete without a quote from LaVey.
As if to say that Webster came first before human language. I have always assumed that what we know of as “communication” and language came first. Then the writing came second, and only afterwards did Webster define words. When I speak or carry a conversation with somebody, neither I nor the person I am speaking with carries a dictionary and looks up every word the other person is using to make sure they are using the word as the Grammar Pope infallibly defined it in his Dick-tionary. As if to say that one year old babies learn their language from reading and studying a dictionary.
When I use a dictionary, it is to simply look up a word I have never seen before to find the general definition of that word. Once I learn the definition of a word, I usually take into consideration such things as what other words are surrounding it, because context affects meaning. When I do personally learn a new word, the more I use it, the more it grows to have a value and quality which is unique to me. The word evolves, in other words over time when it is used. The word “cool” today has more meaning than it did a hundred years ago. To me, the words “down,” “claim,” “represent,” and “flag,” have very different meanings – as it does to anyone familiar with gang culture – which meanings are not found in Webster’s infallible holy book. But this does not make such words when we use it any less valid.
The essence of my first topical point is that this is one thing I really hate about mundanes and Homo Hubris: Orthodoxy. Everything has to be precisely written and accurately defined and deviation from such clearly written and defined things is absolutely unacceptable: be they alternative religious ideologies or common words. What’s the big deal asks the common literalist. The big deal is such orthodoxy or dogma kills human creativity and causes stagnation, disallowing a natural, slow and numinous progression or evolution to occur: be it the evolution of language, religious philosophies, Self, or Civilization, or whatever.
But this dependency on the mundanes part to need things to be precisely written in clearly defined words, so they can be spoon-fed what to precisely think and believe lead me to recall a Platonic allegory I once heard.
It’s a simple allegory with profound esoteric insights: There was a tribe of people living in a cave for a very long time. These cave people were to afraid to leave their cave, so that cave was the only reality they were born and conditioned in.
Each day, at a certain hour the light outside their cave gets dark. And when it gets dark these strange shadows appears dancing on their walls. Now the elders of this caveman tribe would interpret the dancing shadows, explaining what they are and what they mean to the rest of the cavemen.
Anyways, one day a boy from the cave just walks out of the cave because he was curious. Eventually he dis-covers that the light comes from the sun, and as the sun sets, a different tribe of people build bon fires and dance around the fire, and the fire casts their dancing shadows into his cave. And that’s the basics of the story.
Now, when the boy enters the picture, there becomes two forms or methods of apprehending the same dancing shadow phenomenon: 1) Indirectly through middlemen as most of the cavemen did to get their information; or 2) Directly without a middleman as the boy did. This second method of extracting insight directly from its source in Theravada Buddhism is called Vibhajjavada, literally meaning “Teaching of Analysis.” This doctrine says that insight must come from the aspirant’s own direct experience, and critical investigation. But what exactly is the source of insight hinted at, which the analyzer must directly immerse itself in to experience, to extract such insight? If you asked the boy in the cave allegory this question, he would answer: That which exists outside the cave. In other words, it is that “thing” we call “Life,” “Reality,” “The Book of Nature,” which is to be directly experienced: minus the middlemen.
This brings us to the second topical point: the very Methodology of the Sinister Order of Nine Angles as an esoteric order. The ONA time after time, stresses, urges, and forces its Initiates to put the manuscripts down and directly experience life/reality/nature to work on going beyond what limits mundane society has placed on the Initiates. And from that direct exposure to the very living source of insight, the Initiate gains insights. Such insights and esoteric knowledge and wisdom is not and was not written anywhere in any book in a very clear and well defined erudite and grammatically correct manner on a tree or rock in nature. Each Initiate of the Sinister Way must have it in him/her to be empathetic and intuitive enough to extract and apprehend such unwritten insights by themselves. “You must figure things out on your own,” so the ONA states again and again. Thus, there is a personal progression and dis-covering. The pupil being the Initiate, the teacher being Life. There is no middleman that comes in between.
But it is very different with these mundanes. Rather than immerse themselves directly into Life, they fetter themselves in that allegorical cave and they depend on the accurately, clearly, and precisely written literal words of a Webster, a LaVey, a Saint Paul to spoon feed them their information. To tell them what is definitively real and unreal, what is definitively right and wrong. What is clearly and definitely true and false. What to believe and what to not believe. Like the cavemen in that allegorical cave, the mundanes need a middle man to interpret Life and Reality for them in dictionaries, wikipedia articles, Satanic Bibles, Holy Bibles, and such. Where are their minds and awareness focused and from what are their minds misdirected? Their awareness is focused and immersed in dead letters, and dead books, often written by long dead men. Having their awareness focused and attached to books and the clearly written word, and having been dependent on a middleman or “reality dealer” for so long, they do not see the Natural World, nor can they “read” this Great Book of Nature. Neither have these mundanes; regardless of what middleman product or premanufactured “reality in a book” they agree with to believe; the ability to empathize with Nature, to creatively and intuitively extract any esoteric knowledge, because they need and require things to be plainly and frankly written out for them.
Which leads us to the third topical point: The suckiness of the mundanes and profane Satanists and why they don’t qualify to be of the ONA.
These profane Satanists, like the mundanes that they are need a Satanic Bible and a High Priest to clearly and precisely tell them what to believe. They need LaVey to codify “Satanism” for them, because they can’t do it themselves. They need LaVey to clearly explain to them what a Baphomet is, because they can’t see any meaning in such things with their mundane eyes. They need LaVey to tell them how to be a “Satanist,” what to do, and what “Satanists,” believe in and don’t believe in.
Having been spoon-fed their religion and “reality” in well written precise words, they become confused, when they encounter someone like David Myatt who supposedly was a Satanist, supposedly founded a Sinister Order, but converted to Islam. After reading Wikipedia articles and other clearly written texts precisely stating that Myatt is a Muslim they believe what they read – what they are told by others, by written letters – and they lack the ability to figure things out by themselves. They lack the ability to question things and investigate on their own to dis-cover things, because they have been trained and conditioned to accept the written words of “authorities.”
Such people like this do not qualify or have what it takes to be of the ONA. We’re not just talking about a simple exchange of one codified belief for another. Like a profane Satanists or mundane can just throw his old indoctrinations out to adopt ONA ones, and if he refuses, we don’t accept him. The fundamental issue is that such people are devoid of the fundamental essence, nature, and pragmatism required by the ONA, to make the Sinister Way work in the real world.
If the ONA is an esoteric order, with unwritten esoteric insights and methodology, how is such a mundane person to see and extract such insights when he is inherently incapable?
If the ONA teaches that its Initiates must directly experience Life to extract valuable insights from it. How will the mundane or profane Satanist do this when they need to read shit clearly written in a book to know anything?
If the ONA says that you are on your own and you need to figure things out by yourself. How are these mundanes and profane Satanists going to do this if they need a middleman to figure things out for them. They are fundamentally Consumers: consumers of already manufactured product.
The ONA is not a finished, codified, already manufactured product. It is continuously evolving and progressing. Changing like human language naturally has and does evolve and change over time. The ONA will only become inert and stagnant: a dogmatic orthodoxy; if these mundanes and profane Satanists become ONA. Because of the very fact that they need things written precisely and clearly and their natural need to keep things well defined, so they can quote it and thump on it.
The reason why mundanes and profane Satanists are like this is because they are inherently empty inside. In other words: they have no true sense of Self or of who they are. They are not true individuals, meaning their individuation is psychologically and emotionally underdeveloped. All they have is a superficial ego: which they deify. Such things as labels, and defined written “things” compensate their lack of a Numinous and Natural Self Identity. It gives their superficial egos something superficial to hold onto: to identify with. Their egos takes a label “Satanism” and that label becomes their identity. And when they are asked: well, if you are a “Satanist” what is a “Satanist?” They will bust out their Webster or Satanic Bible, look for their clearly defined statements which precisely defines what a “Satanist” is and say: Here, it says it in here clearly what I am. Which is to say that these mundanes’ distorted perception of Self and their underdeveloped individuation is entirely dependent on such definitions and books: without which they would have absolutely no sense or awareness of Self. Thus, do these mundanes – whatever labels they wear – make it a life and death matter to hold onto such books and such definitions of things, because their “existence” completely depends on such definitions and books.
From their sense of “self,” it makes no sense that a “Satanist,” can also be a Muslim. Because obviously, as Webster defines the two words; and clearly the written Satanic Bible and Quran contradict each other. It’s like an apple being an orange at the same time.
But from our point of view, someone like David Myatt is just Human who first tasted an orange, and then an apple, perhaps for a sinister purpose. Because most of us in the ONA are Human. We understand innately that we are Human. We have a developed strong sense of Self. We have a living Numinous and Natural Self Image. And we know and understand that things like labels, books, definitions, and such are unreal and superficial. That we do not become what labels we wear, what books we read and believe at the moment, and we know that our living Humanness cannot ever be defined in some dictionary or book. Because we know that our Humanness – which is our genuine Self Identity – has its life and reality in the Living Unwritten Cosmos, rather than in some definition or some book.
I am still me, Chloe, regardless of what clothes I wear; what accessories I have on. I am still me regardless of what I may feel or think. Regardless of what I choose to believe in, whether it was Santa Clause when I was younger, or whatever. I am not my beliefs, such things change with a mere change of mind and angle of perception. I am not an –ism and even the many volumes of ONA manuscripts don’t even define who and what I am. This is called having a strong sense of Self. Of knowing who and what you are. I am Human, and all I am doing is Experiencing. And from these experiences I have in the Causal World of Phenomena, I evolve and grow as an individual and become more than what I was before. And this is the very first fundamental objective of the ONA.
Those mundanes and profane Satanists do not have this. How can they directly experience anything, when they are lost in books and dead words? They do not know what reality is unless you define it for them. They do not even know what they are to try and change or evolve themselves. To them changing themselves is just switching from a Theistic Satanist to an Atheistic one. And even that requires a debate over written words and definitions.
It is the very nature of the Mundane – Satanist, Christian, or Materialistic Atheist who believes in scientific dogma – to define limits and to stay within the boundaries of such limits. This is the very reason why they quote their Webster, their Satanic Bibles, their Holy Bibles, their Newtons. We are the opposite: the adversary of set or established defined limits. It is the nature of a sinister individual to look for defined limits, and to surmount, or go beyond such limits: be they personal limits, religious limits, moral limits, ethical, social, sexual, secular, or political. No limit, standard, definition, law, established boundary is sacred to us, it’s all getting transgressed. This is the very meaning and understanding of what “Heresy” is. It’s the very meaning and understanding of what the word “Sinister” is essentially: people who go the Wrong way. To be sinister means to go in the opposite direction of what has been defined and established to be Right by mundanes! The very nature of a mundane and the profane Satanist disqualifies them to be sinister by nature.
You don’t have to be a serial killer to be “sinister,” I would encourage it though. But the “Sinister Way” just basically means the “Other Way,” the “Opposite Way” everybody else is going in; the “Adversarial Way,” the “Heretical Way,” the “Left or Unright Way.” Think “satan” as in the essential meaning of that word. “Satan” and it’s feminine form “Sitnah” in its original Hebrew means “To Resist,” or “To Be An Advasary To Something.” From the verb “Satah” meaning “To Turn Aside,” “Turn Down,” “Decline.” So the essence of the word “Satan” and “Sinister” roughly expresses the same concept: Resisting or rejecting, turning down, or being an adversary to the accepted way, the right way, the established way.
But the word Sinister as the ONA uses it also denotes a practical way of resisting, and opposing: through ones acts and deeds, to transgress whatever limits which the mundanes have set religiously or politically, or howeverwise; practically, physically, pragmatically. Especially in regards to the State. Because the State is in essence nothing more then the conglomeration of The Enemy: the Mundanes, making laws and setting social limits. But what exactly does all this mean? To give an example: if the mundanes established a law that says: Thou shalt not murder; the sinister individual is the kind that has it in his/her inner nature to resist, reject, and practically transgress that accepted way by culling. The act of this sinister individual going against the established grain of society is done out of a fierce sense of natural individuation, knowing that he is by Nature free to do as he pleases, so long as that culling benefits him, rather than submit to a limit these mundanes have placed on him to make themselves feel safe.
It is not in the mundane Homo Hubris’ character and inner nature to be sinister: to physically through act and deed, reject and resist its own kind. Pragmatism and wyrd are alien concepts to the mundanes. They only know Belief, Words, and exoterically, clearly written orthodoxy. Profane Satanists of whatever brand don’t reject anything. They still exist within the Christian Matrix or Wetlanschauung. They still follow the secular laws of their cities and states set by mundanes: the very herd they pretend to hate. They are still duped into playing the religion game like everyone else. They still follow ethical and social protocols. And worse, they try very hard to make their “Satanism” acceptable to society. What is sinister about that?
Having what it takes to be ONA is uncommon. It is a quality or essence one already is by nature. You do not study to become sinister. You already are sinister by nature. You do not study to be Human, you already are Human by nature. You don’t read some book to know what Life/Nature is. You do not study to learn to see the subtle esoterica in Life and things, it is an occult ability and quality that is natural to those who are ONA. We don’t have to follow or worship David Myatt or read any ONA MSS to be ONA. If David Myatt did not make the ONA, all of us who are genuinely of the ONA know very well that each of us would have created it anyways. David Myatt just beat all of us to it. Just like a gang is unwritten, but yet the same in every city and nation, no matter who is involved. Because such things as the ONA and things like gangs are based on Primal Nature: the Nature we are in harmony with; which is our Self Identity. This is how we are by Nature. The mundanes and profane Satanists must read a book to find a superficial self. This is the essential difference between Us and them, and the reason why they can never be one of us. Birds of a feather do flock together. If your feathers aren’t sinister, and you’re not a Bird of Prey, you ain’t flocking with our kind.
